Know Jesus as Savior
How can you know Jesus as Savior? A Savior is one who saves and Jesus is the Savior of the world. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him." John 3:17 "For the Son of Man (Jesus) has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10 To be saved means to be rescued. Why do we need to be saved or rescued? Because just like a person who is trapped in a burning is in danger and in need of being rescued, we too are in danger of dying and spending eternity separated from God in a place called Hell. What must you do to be saved? A-Admit to God you are a sinner. Sin is anything we think, say or do that does not please God. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23 All includes you. Sin seperates us from God and prevents us from having a personal relationship with him. 'Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Neither is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear." Isaiah 59:1 & 2 The Bible tells us that we must pay the penalty for our sin and the wages or payment for sin is death. "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23a God made a way for our penalty to be paid through his Son, Jesus Christ. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 B-Believe that Jesus is God's perfect son who died to save us. Jesus is the only person who could pay the penalty because God will only accept a perfect, sinless sacrifice. Jesus became our sacrificial lamb. "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29 So Jesus shed his blood and died on the cross in our place and was buried. Not only that, he rose again from the dead on the third day and lives forevermore. "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4 C-Confess Jesus as Lord. "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; Here is an example: Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and save me now. I receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. A men" If you prayed that prayer you received Christ by faith
